Griddle Seasoning Wax
• Coating created helps protect your griddle
• Develops layer of seasoning so food lifts easily
• Made of grapeseed oil, canola oil and beeswax (from U.S. bee farms)
• Antibacterial beeswax bonds oils for a solid layer of seasoning, smoother application and no sticky residue
- Apply 1 teaspoon of Weber Griddle Seasoning Wax with a lint-free cotton cloth over the entire surface of the griddle – front to back, side to side, including the interior and exterior of any side walls.
- Use a separate cloth to wipe off any excess seasoning wax so that the surface is evenly coated.
- Turn the burners to high heat. The surface will begin to smoke and darken (approximately 10 minutes).
- If any oil begins to bead on the surface, with grill mitts on, hold a paper towel with tongs to wipe the excess oil from the griddle.
- When the surface stops smoking (approximately 20–30 additional minutes) turn off the heat to the griddle. Allow it to cool at least 30 minutes.
- The griddle now has 1 coat of seasoning. Repeat steps 1–5, at least 2 more times to build your seasoning,
